List of defunct Division I football teams

Interesting list of previous schools who once hosted a D-1 football program. Would love to see a few of these come back to life. Most notably The University of Chicago who once was a dominant force in College Football as well as DePaul. If Temple has a team DePaul certainly should...Enjoy... NCAA Football Playoff System? I think not!

the college playoff push...please! If anyone was fortunate enough to watch the LSU vs. Florida Gators game this past Saturday night, you would have found many, pretty straight forward, answer's as to why we do not need a playoff system implemented. I ask you what would be the mindset of a coach like Les Miles who knows that a system is in place to essentially almost reward a team for not taking that extra chance. Does he have his team go for it and fourth down ?..5 times in a row nonetheless? Right now each and every game played is essentially a playoff game as one loss at any point in the season could derail all hopes of a BCS birth. Save the playoffs for March... Below is a list of the Advocates" TERRY BOWDEN Head Coach - Auburn University (1993-1998) MACK BROWN Head Coach - University of Texas LLOYD CARR Head Coach - University of Michigan PETE CARROLL Head Coach - University of Southern California DELOSS DODDS Athletic Director - University of Texas LAVELL EDWARDS Head Coa

List of 100 point games in NCAA college football

100 point games by one team in NCAA college football history are rare. This list provided is of current Division I-A football teams, but most of the losing teams are defunct. This list was garnered from the ESPN College Football Encyclopedia . Only Arizona , Georgia Tech , Oklahoma , and Tulsa have eclipsed 150-points in at least one game. Georgia Tech is the only team to ever record over 200 points in one game, occurring in 1916 against Cumberland . Yikes!! University of Alabama vs. Marion Military Institute Score: 111-0 Year: 1922 University of Arizona vs. New Mexico Military Institute Score: 110-0 Year: 1921 and....vs. Camp Harry Hones Score: 167-0 Year: 1922 University of Arkansas vs. Southwest Missouri State Score: 105-0 Year: 1911 University of California, Berkeley vs. St. Mary's (CA) Score: 127-0 Year: 1920 University of Cincinnati vs. Kentucky Wesleyan Score: 115-0 Year: 1921 University of Colorado vs. Regis University Score: 109-0 Year: 1905 University of F

Sex romp during WISCO Game costs couple season tickets.....

While the Wisconsin Badgers football team was busy scoring on Washington State earlier this year, a young couple was busy scoring in the bathroom at Camp Randall Stadium . According to UW Police Officer Gerard Pehler, he was assisting a fan who had fallen due to heat exhaustion when a bystander approached and asked him, "Can you do anything about two having sex in the women's restroom stall?" "They're going at it pretty good," added the fan. Not only are the pair facing up to 90 days in jail and up to $1,000 fine for a disorderly conduct rap, but they may lose their Badger season tickets, as well. Because the UW has a policy in place to revoke season tickets of people who cause disturbances, the officer asked couple to produce their tickets and the man was able to find his -- the seats were in section KK -- but the woman couldn't find hers, what with her pants being inside out.

Psycho Northern Colorado Punter gets 7 years in jail.....

This cat looks pissed. Easy big punter settle down...easy....easy boy.. A judge sentenced former Northern Colorado backup punter Mitch Cozad to seven years in prison Tuesday for stabbing a rival in what prosecutors said was a brutal attempt to take over the starter's role. Prosecutors said Cozad ambushed starting punter Rafael Mendoza on the night of Sept. 11, 2006. Mendoza was left with a deep gash in his kicking leg but later returned to the team. Cozad was convicted in August of second-degree assault but acquitted of the more serious charge of attempted first-degree murder. Cozad, 22, of Wheatland, Wyo., could have faced up to 16 years in prison on the assault conviction. In related news this might be a blessing in disguise for Cozad as a scout for Warner Bros., has pitched him the next role if Friday the 13th Part 34. The plot calls for Jason to come back again from the dead and try out for the New York Jets punter role...Do I hear the Academy calling?

Doomsday clock struck for Top Ten Teams............

For Fans residing in towns like Boulder, Tampa Bay, Atlanta, Champaign, Berkeley, College Park and Manhattan well you probably still have a bit of a hang over from the late night celebrations that took place this past Saturday. On the other hand, it was a day to forgot for those team on the losing end of the scoreboard as dreams of playing in the BCS Championship game took a serious backseat to those in the ranks of the still unbeaten. It is going to be difficult for both LSU, who is now working through the meaty part of their SEC schedule, and the Trojans who still have games @ CAL, Notre Dame and ending the season home vs. UCLA, to end the season undefeated so there is still a chance. Below are some interesting factoids from the great action experienced this past Saturday. Enjoy.......... Colt Brennan has rewritten the Hawaii passing record book, but it's a bet he didn't want this record. The senior QB threw a school-record five interceptions in the win over Idaho. 161 It wa
